Chongqing 3 Day Classic Tour

Pick up from Chongqing Train Station, or Chongqing aiport or Chaotianmen Dock in the morning. First have Chinese lunch, start your half day tour in Chongqing with the visit Stillwell Museum. Joseph W. Stilwell (1883 - 1946) was born in Palatka, Florida, USA. He was graduated from West Point in 1904. Stillwell Museum is situated in the Yuzhong District in Chongqing city to commemorate General Joseph W. Stilwell who contributed greatly to the liberation of China during the World War II.

Pick up from your hotel in Chongqing, drive 56km northwst to the ancient Fishing City. The old town was ubilt in 1242, or the 2nd year of the Chunyou reign of the Southern Song (about 1100-1279). In 1258, the Mongols launched a total attack on the Song and the Fishing Town was besieged.

The Song army mounted a valiant counterattack that lasted 36 years. Some European historians to laud Fishing Town as the "Mecca of the East" and "Where God broke his whip". The ruins of the ancient battlefield of Fishing Town are well kept there.

After lunch, you are arrange to visit the ancient Ciqikou Ancient Town. The old town is located in Shapingba district of Chongqing and on the west bank of Jialing River. The majority of the houses date from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, periods during which many masterpieces of Chinese architecture were created.
