Shandong Weishan Lake

Weishan Lake is made up of four lakes including Weishan, Zhaoyang, Nanyang, and Dushan Lake with an area of 1,266 square kimometers. Located in the south of Shandong Province, it is the largest freshwater in the north of China. Surrounded with beautiful waters and hills, Weishan Lake is well known as “One City and Two Hometown” i.e. the city of Chinese Lotus, Water town of Northward, as well as the hometown of Guerilla in Railway (a famous film).

Within Weishan Lake, the rich and unique natural resources like the lake, the mountain, the island, the forest, reed marshes all form a natural beauty of both wildness and heartthrob. Phonix Mountain and Taohua Mountain is neighboring with the lakes and mountains as well as forest and spring altogether. The most grand vision is 100,000-acre lotus. In midsummer, the surface of the lake is covered with multicolored lotus, blooming fully, vying for attention as if they were in competition, very fragrant and refreshing.

Weishan Lake has a long history and lots of historic sites. Many moving stories and legendaries go around in Nanyang ancient town. Saga novel,

adopted the material here and the Guerilla Cenotaph and Memorial has been set up. The historic sites here include: Weishan Island Sanxian Tomb, Liangcheng Fuyi Mausoleum, Fuyi Temple, Luqiao Zhongzi Temple, Mapo Liangzhu Tomb, etc.

Weishan Lake is drawing the attention of more and more tourists both at home and abroad because of its unique natural scenery, humanities scenery and customs.
