Longtan Lake Park is just a local park in Beijing. It lies at the southeast inner corner of the 2nd Ring Road, next to the old city moat to its east and south sides.
But today when we talk about the Longtan Lake Park, we often refer to the East Lake Park which is cut off from the Mid Lake and the West Lake by Zuoanmen Inner Street running through the park from north to south. The Mid Lake has been built into the earliest amusement park known as Beijing Amusement Park.
The northeast Longtan Lake Park mainly consists of one lake and peninsula that are circled by the stone paved paths and Chinese-style gardens and pavilions, a lovely place for an early morning stroll.
The entrance fee is only RMB2, which allows you to have one or hours’s stroll and keep from the hustle and bustle of the Beijing.
