Fengcheng Town (Seat of Yongding County) Fengcheng Town is the seat of Yongding county, 76km south of Longyan City, 240km southwest of Xiamen. Yongding River winds through the center of the Fengcheng Town. The Yongding Government is located at Yanhe Road of Nanmen in Fengcheng Town. Fengcheng Town has a population of over 4,000. There are 3 high schools, 5 primary schools, 2 kindergartens.

Fengcheng Town is very clean. All the street front stores have clear and pretty signs which are under the uniform control of the local government. Fengcheng Town is an important springboard for visiting Hakka Tulou buildings. It is only 36km east of Hongkeng Tulou Cluster. Many travelers choose to stay in Fengcheng Town before or after visiting the tulou clusters nearby.

The Yongding River passes the town from northeast to southwest with two bridges spanning the river - East Gate Bridge and South Gate Bridge. The main streets in the town include River Bank South Road, River Bank North Road, Nanmen Road (South Gate Road ), Huanccheng Road (City Ring Road ) and Jiuyi Road.
