After breakfast at your hotel, have an excursion to the Mutainyu Great Wall ( 2 hours ). The Mutianyu section of Great Wall is located in Huairou district, about 80 km north from downtown Beijing. The Mutianyu Great Wall is less crowded than Badaling Great Wall. It is a green section of the great wall in Beijing with vegetation, green trees covering 90 per cent of the section.
After lunch, you are transferred back to the downtown Beijing and visit the Forbidden City ( 2 hours ), the Chinese imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Beijing, and now accommodate the Palace Museum.
Then move on to Tiananmen Square ( 40 minutes ), the largest public square in the world. The Tiananmen Gate on the south of the Forbidden City was built in 1415 during the Ming Dynasty. This was the site when in 1949, from a rostrum on Tiananmen (the Gate of Heavenly Peace), Chairman Mao proclaimed the establishment of the People's Republic of China. Back to your hotel.
