Kungfu Show at Shichahai

Today we'd like to focus on Kungfu Show at Shichahai Theater. This Shichahai Theeatre is attached to Shichahai Sports School, which is located opposite Former Residence of Guo Moruo in Shichahai Area of Xicheng District.

How to get there: Public buses: 118, 609, 111, 107, 701, 623 and 13, get off at the stop of the North Gate to Beihai Park (北海北门站） Subway:Line 5 and get off at the stop of Zhang Zhizhong(张志中）, then change for public buses for the North Gate to Beihai Park (北海北门站） Line 4 and get off at the stop of Pinganli (平安里）， then change for public buses for the North Gate to Beihai Park (北海北门站）

"Shichahai" Kungfu show is a kungfu spectacle, put on mainly by the actors from Shichahai Sports School. "Shichahai" Kungfu show is both a follower and a rival to The Legend of Kung Fu at Red Theatre. The Legend of Kung Fu at Red Theatre has been very successful in the past ten years. However, more than a follower, "Shichahai" Kungfu show is very creactive and innovative, combining many elements into Kungfu show, such as Peking opera, acrobatics, dance, jiujitsu,folk customs and etc.

A lovely panda couple, named Ai Long and Ai Jie. "Ai" means love. "Long" here refers to star Bruce Lee and Jackie Chen; "Jie" refers to the Kung Fu star Jet Li. They are mad on about Chinese Kung Fu. To experience and learn authentic Chinese Kong Fu from a great master, they come to Beijing. They met the warm and friendly Beijing people, who are actually great Kung Fu masters though they look very ordinary. The couple learn Chinese Kung Fu and enjoy sightseeing and culture here in Beijing.
