Plan your visit to Beijing Tiananmen Square? Before kicking off your visit to Tiananmen Square, you are highly recommended to start your sightseeing by visiting Beijing Urban Planning Exhibition Hall （北京市规划展览馆）where you are able to see the Whole of Beijing in Miniature with vivid knowledge of the city as well.
Located just on the southeast corner of Tiananmen Square, Beijing Urban Planning Exhibition Hall has a large model of the entire Beijing metropolitan area, as well as multimedia exhibits depicting the history, present situation, and future of urban planning in Beijing.

Tips 1. Open from 9.00 am to 4.00pm Tues-Sunday at Southeast corner of Tian'anmen Square, close to Subway Station Qianmen on line 2, next to China Railway Museum and a walking distance to Qianmen old street.
2. Entrance fee: 40 yuan. Inside, you need to pay 10 yuan for a 4D movie if you are interested.
3. On the first floor There's a bronze "bowl" showing the geographical location of Beijing and the mountains surrounding the city. The large bronze on the wall tells the Beijing before 1949.
4. On the fourth floor there is a huge scale model of the entire metropolis. The huge model of current Beijing is just amazing, where you can walk and check different places.
5. The other floors houses the exhibits about the city which are interesting enough to keep you busy and entertained for 2 hours.
6. There's also a good wide 4D movie ( 10 RMB) . Kids enjoy the 4D movie.
7. It is a nice spot for them to run around and burn off some pent-off energy.
8. The staff is ready to explain to you every single detail in a fair English.
