Plan your Chengdu Tour? One thing you should not miss out is to wander through Jinli Ancient Street (锦里), originally built as early as Shu Kingdom ( 220 – 280 AD) and known as “The First Street of the Shu Kingdom” .
Jinli Pedestrian Street (锦里) is located just next door to Wuhou Shrine. Actually Jinli Street is part of the Wuhou Shrine Museum's complex.

It has become a major tourist attraction in Chengdu, attracting a great number of travelers each each year, which boasts of ancient buildings, traditional cultures, local food and customs.
People people often put the two together for a half day city tour in Chengdu. Basically after vsiting Wuhou Shrine from South to North, people would turn right and enter the the 350-metre-long Jinli Pedestrian Street and walking from north to south.
The old street of Jinli (锦里) tends to immerse people into the atmosphere of the old charming Chengdu and give people an opportunity to savour local culture and foods.
Jinli Old Street combines the ambience of ancient and modern China. Strolling down the narrow street, you will find yourself surrounded by a charming old world. The wooden steles and the brick-walls exhibit an ancient charm.
There are also a variety of Sichuan characteristic snacks in the street, a variety of teahouses, cafes, bars, and inns.
At dusk, Jinli Street will be lit up, quite charming, suitable for taking photos and hang out for a drink.
