Sunset View at Jingshan Park

You may exit from the north gate of the Forbidden City and then cross the road, you will see the south gate of Jingshan Park. There are other two entrances to Jingshan Park, east gate and west gate. For normal opening time, the enctrance fee is only RMB2. But during the Peony Festival from later April and May each each year, the enctrance is raised to RMB10 per person.

On the hill, there are five pavilions with Wanchun Pavilion perched in the middle along Beijing's North-south axis. The Wanchun Pavilion is the best point to view the sunset and the birds'-eye view of Forbidden City.
