Plan your Xi'an Tour? Huajue Xiang 化觉巷 (Huajue Lane or Huajue Alley) must...
Huajue Xiang, the over one thousand years old lane is not a straight alley, first running from east to west, then turning north. Most part of the lane is occupied by stalls selling a wide varity of tourist stuff, cheap and unique seldon seen elsewhere.
Actually Huajue Alley has become an interesting free market in Xian, a must to visit place for the first time Xian visitors.

Follow me to enter Huajue Xiang (Huajue Alley). The starting point is a traditionally Chinese archway elegantly decorated with three big Chinese characters “化觉巷”.

So part of the ancient Huajue Lane is used as a huge free market selling everything ranging from clothes, bags…, to antiques in Xian.

People are just amazed by the rich variety of things in the market.

First built at the Tianbao first year (742 years) during Tang Dynasty, it was rebuilt by Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, hence the present scale.
