Xian Airport (Xian Xianyang International Airport) is located in Xianyang, 47 kilometers in the northwest of Xian city centre. It is the largest airport in China’s northwest. The airport covers an area of 5,640,000 square meters.

Currently, the airport connects to 79 other cities domestically and internationally, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Guilin, Jiuzhaigou, Hong Kong, Taipei, Tokyo, Nagoya, Seoul, etc.
There are two terminals in Xian Xianyang International Airport – T1 and T2. The two terminals are very close to each other.
When you get out of the airport, go straight out the doors and you will see the transit buses in front of you. You can take the shuttle buses to the downtown area of Xian.

Its only costs you CNY 26 for the shuttle bus ride. The shuttle bus operates every half hour.
If you have much luggage and your hotel in Xian is not close to the downtown shuttle bus stop, you are kindly suggested to take a taxi since it will save you more time for a comfortable transfer. But before you enjoy your ride, you have to bargain with the taxi driver for a reasonable fare, which costs about RMB 100-RMB 120.

Below are some useful tips for taking a taxi at Xian Xianyang International Airport:
Just walk out of the arrival hall and follow the taxi sign to the taxi parking lot, about 100 meters in the front.
Most of the drivers are not willing to use the meter. So you have to bargain a reasonable price with them ( between RMB 100 and 120)
Carpooling are welcomed both by passengers and drivers, a win-win way of taking the taxi. The fare is around RMB 60 per person.
