Chengdu airport is located 16km southwest of the downtown Chengdu. There are two adjacent terminals at Chengdu airport – Old Terminal and New Terminal.

The Old Terminal is a one floor building C1 – C2 and the New Terminal is a two-storey building A & C.

The Old Terminal is the original terminal now serving the domestic flights within Sichuan Province ( like Jiuzhaigou ).

The New Terminal is designed both for domestic flights outside Sichuan Province and international flights.

Chengdu Shuangliu Airport is the busiest airport in Western China. It is also the important transit airport for Lhasa Airport, Changdu airport and Nyingchi airport. It is a base for Chengdu Airlines, Air China and Sichuan Airlines.

If you take a taxi to the downtown Beijing from Shuangliu airport, the taxi fare will cost you around RMB70 per ride per car, excluding RMB10 toll fee.
